Yeah, Apple refused to share the technical info needed to code for New World Macs. Stevie had just returned, with his NeXTStep OS in tow, and obviously had other plans and no desire to let anyone else ride on his coattails. The Be folks were unwilling to go through the hassle of reverse enginering, expecially since it almost certainly meant legal harassment from Apple, so PPC support just dried up.

I have a 9600/200MP and I love how snappy BeOS is on it, but I'm not using it because *I can't find any software* to run. Somebody help...*PLEASE*

Yep, BeOS runs just fine in Old World PCI Power Macs with G3 upgrades.
You're a Brave Old World kinda guy, James. What are you using your PTP and S900 for and what are the configs/OS...?

I have run BeOS on my beige G3. I'm still trying to get ANYTHING to
install on this new B&W...

Hey, I *thought* it might be possible to install BeOS in a beige G3 because of it's basically Old World architecture - interesting to hear it can be done. Did you do the install on the beige or just move the hard drive from another Mac?
