Geeee Bruce, you didn't exactly make my day with that one.

I have only dealt with Apple's Repairs program once, and that was many years ago, with a recalled Powerbook 5300 with a splitting screen. I was pleased with how that one went.

On Sunday, my 34 day old iPod passed away. I originally contacted them around 11pm (EST) on January 31. On February 1 I received two emails: a service request acknowledgment and a repair estimate. Today, February 2nd, Airborne Express showed up with a shipping box to take the dead iPod away.

So far, I am happy with Apple's service. Guess it all depends on what I get back, and when it arrives.

Nancy

We've had numerous flamewars about Apple's service here, thought I'd pass along a tidbit from the latest Tech Tails, one of SmallDog's newsletters
