Subject: Emulators - was Re: Mac Emulators
I have a question for Bruce, or maybe others...
I recently purchased a copy of Virtual PC6 with Windows XP Pro, as a birthday gift for a friend's teenager son. He has a G3B&W running OS 9 & X, but uses Windows boxes at school. I don't know how much it will help him with the various "stuff" they do at school, but figured it might be useful. In any case, knowledge of both OSs is always handy.
From what I read about various versions of Virtual PC it looks like you can use Virtual PC to run other operating systems too. Adding something like Linux might be an interesting summer project for him.
Any comments or suggestions?
Nancy
Net/Free/DragonFly/OpenBSD will run under Virtual PC, last I tried. There should be at least one linux distro that will as well.
