Am I misunderstanding something here? Native CD-burning has been present from 9.1, working the same way as in OSX.

But I always found it clumsy the way it first copies your files to some hidden cache on your HD until you burn it, though it's not really a problem anymore with todays HD-sizes.

Agree, Toast is better. Gives total control of what kind of CD to burn. But costs money if you are honest... 8-)

I do believe Toast Titanium is the best out there. Its doing a great job
here, I mostly use it in OS 9.2 because I like the OS X burning system, iTunes
does a pretty good job too with the music, I wouldn't use anything else for
music.
