Hello all. Since I dont feel like moving around jumpers on my
motherboard to find this out, could some of you please share the temps of your G3s,
overclocked or not. I use Guage Pro to find this out. I average about 104
Farenheit on a G3 thats been overclocked 25MHz. Seems kinda low...thats why I love
G3s.
The Beige G3 MT that I used for three years had a 450 MHz processor overclocked to 500 with a motherboard running at 83 MHz. It was revision 1. No special cooling.
In its final configuration it had maxxed RAM, a 60 GB Maxtor drive, a Pioneer 105, USB and Firewire combo card with a printer and an external drive connected that ran constantly, and two 9 GB Fujitsu drives connected to a Jackhammer card as a RAID 0 volume, for video editing.
It runs around 46F all of the time. The wife's still using it and it's still going strong. Never had a hardware problem.
