Walk away from that iMac...that's probably nothing but trouble, IMO.
The spots are likely from the yoke on the tube getting shaken around by whatever broke the case; odds are the CD got busted at the same time. Thats a LOT of force.
That much damage would indicate that it's nothing but headaches waiting to happen.

Have to agree with Bruce on this one Lili. The CRT is probably toast as is the CD-ROM drive. These beasts are not the easiest things to work on and can be a bit dangerous for anyone who is not aware of the stored charge on the tube. Keep looking on Ebay if you want an iMac, there are many to choose from and you can find good buys on them too! You might also check in on the Mac swap list as iMacs come up all the time on there.
