hauled a Dell down to the basement recently. A painful experience. Why are handles such an oddity ?
Mark
Ah, I don't like most handles on computers, including the G5's. The G5's weight, plus no curve, plus WIDE handle area makes for a grip that quickly hurts my palm. Typically, I just throw my arm over the target machine, down the side, and tuck it to my side, and carry two that way. Taller boxen, one hand under the front, one hand using the recess typical of ATX cases in the back (The slot/port area) below the powersuppy as a grip. I've not transported any G4s so I can't comment on their handles.
As small form factor machines become more common, handles will disapear, to be replaced by custom luggage like the compact macs used to have. (There are actually many strap and bag kits now for traditional desktop systems, as well as backpacks/etc for PC sff systems, I'm just waiting to see them announced for the mini.)
