No waking up hard drive.

I recently installed an extra hard drive (Western Digital 120 g) to my Quicksilver 800, Sys. 10.3.8 it has the original 40 g HD and when is on, it sleeps and wakes up with no problem, but when I start-up from the 120 HD, it will not wake up whenever it goes to sleep.

Has anyone encounter this behaviour? and if so, what is the remedy?
