Can someone tell me why AOL OSX version won't post to these lists? It always
bounces back. But when I sign on to an older powerbook I have AOL 5 on I can
post. I think its something about html email. And can this be disabled in
AOL OSX? You may say why use AOL - but I have Road Runner and other DSL
services at various locations, but AOL is the easiest for me to use at any location
and when I travel for basic email. Any ideas would be appreciated.

For whatever reason, AOL in their oh so very finite wisdom, choose to always send mail with styled text. A lot of mailing lists only allow text only messages and reject things like styled text and html. This is because you can't be sure everyone on a list is going to be able to view it.

AFAIK there is no way to get AOL X to use plain text. You can keep using AOL 5, use a free e-mail account (G-mail, Yahoo, etc) or get a non-kiddy proof ISP.
