Be sure to choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) for the partition where you plan to install OSX. If you plan to run OS9 on this drive, then you need to be sure the drivers for OS9 box is checked. When I did mine, I put a smaller (5 Gb) partition on the drive and installed 9.22 there. Once you have the drive partitioned and setup like you want it, then you can go back and install OSX, etc. >>
Sorry my kitty pressed enter before I was done typing :) I dont exactly remember but I do think that when I first wanted to install OSX in my Beige 333, I actually did installed it in the same partition of OS 9, but my drive was formatted in extended format. This drive is too small (only 9gig) so I just want one partition... well I want to get a bigger drive. Oh, I am just undecided about what to do. I'll need an IDE 1" drive which I should be getting soon but honestly I can't wait to see OSX running in this machine I am too impatient :-\ OS 9 shouldn't take any more than 1GB though, should I make a 1GB partition for OS 9 temporarily? sorry I am just so impatient!
