Hi Laura, I recently bought a used G4 (Sawtooth) and purchased a 19" Sony LCD monitor. My graphics card has a DVI-D and VGA port. The Sony I bought supports both connectors. I'm very happy with the monitor. The one I bought was the SDM-S94 from MacZone. You just need to make sure your graphics card will support the connectors for the monitor you choose.
