Each of your keychains can be set to lock after a period of idle time. If you have set that option (I don't believe it is set by default) then you will need to unset it! Go into the Keychain Access application (in /Applications/Utilities) and in the Edit menu, select "Edit settings for Keychain somekeychain" and uncheck the "Lock after X minutes of activity" option. Repeat for each of your keychains if you have more than one.
