For those of us new to this list, please speak english.(o:)!
What is an ATA100-PCI card and what is an MDD ?

Hmm, if you don't know what ATA-PCI card or MDD is you probably don't know the answer, but of course you should know what the terms mean! :o)

ATA is the interface on IDE harddisks, ATA100 and 133 are
the faster modern standards, older Macs had ATA66, and
even 33 (slow!).

PCI is (obviously?) the card interface on the motherboard
where one plugs the ATA card in.

The ATA card is a PCI card that will allow a further 4 IDE
disks to be connected to the Mac, two buses with one
master and one slave drive on each.

MDD stands for Mirror Drive Doors, the last of the G4
PowerMacs before the G5 was released. This Mac was
the first to have three IDE buses, i.e. 6 devices, 4 for
harddrives, thus my question, 4 + 4 harddrives in one
Mac is quite a bit...

:o)
