Hi Andrew Yon and Everyone,

Please - would you name, describe and
tell us why you like and use certain utilities -
for OS 9+ and for the latest version of OSX.

All that I have experience with - are:
Disk Warrior, Tech Tools and Nortons -
up to OS 9+

Both Tech Tools and Nortons are usually OK -
BUT - in the past -
both have messed up my system so badly
as to necessitate a re-format.

Thanks so much.

I whole heartedly agree. It is my opinion that, no other software
company has done more to screw up Apple computers than has Norton.
I have had Apple computers since the early 80's and have only missed
owning and loving one or two of the models since. I have used at least
one or more of all the Apples ( //'s and Macs ) . I was caught up in
the hype of Norton systemworks at first few versions ; that is until I
found Diskwarrior , Panther cache cleaner, Cocktail, Xupport and a few
other utilities. I own my own repair center and repair all brands of
computers , including custom builds. I work with all platforms as well
and have found that Norton is no better on the other platforms either.
If you want to see it at its worst , try taking Norton out of a peecee.
    : )

The above statements are not intended nor desirous to cause flaming.
They are only my expressed opinion. YMMV I only go on my near 30 year
experience of working with computers. For a complete resume see me off
list : )
