lol a hard drive is a hard drive is a hard drive.
There is no "PC HD" or "Mac HD". The HDs Apple installs differ from G4 
to G4, from Seagate to Maxtor to Hitachi. IBM and Quantum were also used 
before, but Maxtor bought/merged w/Quantum and Hitachi did that with 
IBM. I swap HDs all the time between PC's and Macs. Jus make sure you 
take notice of the master-slave settings.

For example: Apple uses the 40GB 4200RPM or 5400RPM (differs from mini 
to mini) Seagate Momentus 42 in the 1.25GHz mini and the 80GB 4200RPM 
Toshiba MK8025GAS in the 1.42GHz mini.
