Moreover, 160 to 200GB drives are now easier to find than 120s--and are frequently cheaper. For example, Office Depot now a Maxtor 160 for $50 (after rebates). The Maxtor 120 has the same base price, but no rebates. Earlier in the week, Staples had a Maxtor 200 for $60. Looking for a good price on smaller drives isn't worth the bother. Go for the lowest price for a drive over 120GB.
Unless you are upgrading something like an older iMac or a "Beige" G3 AIO like I am, and you are running or plan to run OS X. Then those big drives aren't such a great thing no matter how cheap they are. Granted that with the Beige's you can add a PCI card to allow the use of the big drives, but you can't do that on the iMac. And since I don't use the iMac for a whole lot more than occasional web browsing and as an iTunes jukebox for my stereo, one of those big drives would be wasted anyway. For it, I'd be happy with a good used 8-10 GB drive. Still haven't decided what to do on the Molar, but I do know the current 4GB drive isn't enough to even begin installing X.
