Heh. Guess it was something different I had. I distinctly recall with
horror watching a Finder window in list view slowly but methodically
erasing my files one by one, starting at the bottom and working upwards.

Actually, I believe they were simply turned invisible - but to a week old
newbie...<shudder>

7.0.1 fixed that.
