As a long time ( some say old time ) Mac user from 1985, I too had some issues with acceptance moving from 9 to OSX. I relly did not like 10.1.X ( but who did ) and continued to use 9 for various app's. As OSX evolved, so did I. By the time the OS got to the 10.2.X versions I had completely abandonded OS 9. Don't even have classic loaded on any of the 3 current Mac's I own. OSX is much more elegant, powereful, and stable. Once you get past the fact that it is not 9, it is a wonderful operating system. I use WinXP at work all day. Moving from Win2K to XP was a technical challenge just as moving from 9 to OSX was, but well worth the change. Someone on list uses the following as their sig line " Change is inevitable, the struggle is optional". Acceptance and mastery of change is the key.
