OK I must say I'm again impressed as hell with OWC. Got the Sonnet ATA 133 card and for the hell of it 2 sticks of 256 RAM. That came really fast! So I put in the RAM and the ATA card. Well it doesn't say it in the booklet (4 pages to be exact), but when I saw that my nearly new 80 gig hard drive, all loaded up with EVERYTHING I want in there (which took all night to copy over amidst crashing because of that stooopid DVD drive "not being recognized," was not mounted! So I try to mount it via drive setup. IT says "can't mount this drive." So I update the driver, and try again with scsi probe, it says, can't do it, no driver available. So I go to the trusty G3 minitower and google the problem. WEllllll seems that's just the way IT IS! I'm sorta bummed. Is there any way I can mount this darned drive without initializing it? But back to good things, I now have 609 MB of RAM that works delightfully fast and really speeded up the old 300 MHZ B&W. I installed the Encore software in preparation for the ZIF card from the MT (tomorrow). And I almost forgot about the SCSI card, will try that later on tonight after seeing if the ethernet port is OK (after reading about THAT here). So things are lookin' up! It's a perty little thang, I must say, makes the old MT look like an old hag!! Gotta get some more USB ports (have a card somewhere) cuz 2 just doesn't cut it. Oh the MT system folder does NOT boot up the B&W by the way. Ah well. Thanks again everyone, especially Gene. Here's hoping the mac mini fund is going up and up... Will keep ya updated on the B&W!
