This point jogged my memory...someone (on another list?) had a problem running MacDraw II on modern Macs. They eventually figured out that MD was written in such a way (back in the day of small hard drives, but defying Apple's own guidelines not to make assumptions about the hardware, of course) that it could save to a drive only in the first gigabyte -- once that had filled up, you would get an error message that there either wasn't enough memory or drive space or something like that.
