In the past I have purchased on eBay new, cheap, no-name USB 1, USB 2.0, and Firewire cards that worked flawlessly right out of the box.

Well, I guess the one flaw or exception is the USB 2.0 card w/ NEC chipset won't let an OS 9 system start from any drive on a controller card (Ultratek ATA or Adaptec 29160) without locking it. The same card in my 8500 or Beige DT where no controllers are used, ie. OS 9 boots fine from onboard ATA or SCSI , the USB 2.0 card just doesn't work, as it shouldn't.

Anybody find a fairly inexpensive combo card that gets along with controller cards, especially those mentioned here, when you want to boot into OS 9?

Thanks, Mike

OrangeLink + with USB 1 and Firewire 400 ???, maybe. Any reviews, experiences on a beige MT rev1 ROM A ?
