I do have a Quadra 610, but I haven't tried it with PayPal lately. I suspect
that since someone mentioned that iCab loads the PayPal page for them, that I
would be able to load it using the iCab on my Quadra 610.
I do have a Cable Modem and I normally use my G4 and OS 9.2.2 with Netscape
7.02 to access the PayPal site, so I am not using OS X and I can access
PayPal just fine.
So I have
an Older unsupported OS
Older Browser
But a Cable Modem and not Dial Up.
Note that I used to have Dial Up and iCab was the faster Browser under OS 9
when compared to Internet Explorer 5.x and Netscape 7.02.
The only reason I don't use iCab more often is that it doesn't work with the
Yahoo web mail site.I have used iCab on PayPal and eBay and it worked with no
major problems,
So download iCab 2.9.8 and since it is not a huge download one can download
it fairly easily on dial up and I have before when I was on dial up and it
was the only browser I used.
So if one is timing out due to a slow dial up connection then try a faster
browser and that would be iCab and yeah iCab 2.9.8 has a 68k build as well as
a PPC build so you can try it on a 68030 if you want.
Like I said already try a browser besides Explorer, and my preferences would
be iCab or Netscape or Mozilla in that order.
AFTER You have tried iCab, Netscape and Mozilla if the PayPal Web site still
won't load properly THEN tell us about it
