A couple of weeks ago my 20GB 2 month old iPod showed me a file with an exclamation mark and promptly erased all 3,000 I had songs on it. I plugged it back in to the firewire cable in the B&W and iTunes saw it, and dumped all the files back on to it. Back to normal.

Then it happened again last Friday but now it is not showing up in iTunes at all.

The 20GB is wiped clean and it wants to know what language we should start our journey together in...

Not Good!

I bought it at the Apple Store in SoHo in NY. I went there Saturday around 1:00 and it was a complete mob scene not surprisingly. Couldn't make an appointment at the "Genius Bar". Have to do it on the website. Limited window of opportunity . Did it this morning. I'm going today.

The woman in front of me had the exact same problem with her pod.

Anybody else out there having similar problems?
