Victoria, the story is that OSX will support a great many CD burners using
the Patchburn program.  Toast will support most burners without any other
drivers in OS9 and OSX.  Otherwise you might visit the compatibility
database at xlr8yourmac.com.  Here is the url for that database:

As I mentioned before, the LiteOn CDRW's that OWC sells work just fine in
the B&W and they are bootable as well.  Not pushing OWC on you, but I
believe in supporting good companies and I think OWC is one.
