Hi Tom,

I think that if you reformat that drive it will probably work fine.

This is all on an internal hard drive right? Do you have space on one of
your external HD�s to backup all the data. That way you�ll be able to
restore back to where you were before the trouble.

Lot�s of the data I think you want to save can be found in the �Users
Folder�  look in the �Tom� or whatever you named your home folder, inside
the Library folder and you�ll see a Safari Folder. That holds all of your
bookmarks.  

If you�re using Entourage then your e-mail data is located inside the �Users
Folder� look in the �Documents� folder and inside the �Microsoft Users Data�
folder inside you�ll find a folder labeled �Office 2004 Identities� or
whatever version you�re using.

Actually I've found that I have much fewer extensions in OS X than I did in
previous systems. I run Spell Catcher and if you are too, you need to back
up all the user shortcuts and other files.
