Hi, I had a similar problem. I installed an internal modem, with the
software and all was well, till I decided to go back to an external Global
Village modem. Somehow neither would work despite trashing all the existing
software and reloading with the discs that came with the respective modems.
So after a while (just before deciding to throw the whole thing out the
window (7rl other problems cropped up in the mean time), I downloaded
drivers from the website, and presto the modems worked again. I don't
recall where I found the site, but if I could do it anyone could.
Hope this helps,
John
