Hello G-listers;

I just picked up an Indigo G3 CRT iMac.
It was advertised as 350/256, but was actually a 500/384.
I got too excited to noticed that it needed a new PRAM battery.
(Nuts. I should have haggled to knock off another $20).

Anyway, here are some simple iMac 101 questions.

(1) Can I open it up by removing two screws at the bottom?
(2) Is it not wise to replace its stock 20g HD with a 7200 RPM model?
I have read somewhere that this may cause problems because the faster HD generates
too much heat for this fan less Mac.
(3) Could I replace its video card with something better - a 7000 Radion for example?
What card would you recommend? I intend to use the machine mostly for digital photo - not video.

TIA

Jim
