Hello,

My wife's G4 is intermittently freezing up. The only way I can bring it back to life is to kill the power. Often it occurs when using a USB device, but not always. It recently froze up during a software update to 10.3.8 - it would not reboot, so I had to reinstall 10.3. During the software update, no other aps were running, and no peripherals were in use. After installing 10.3, I updated to 10.3.8, hoping that it might take care of the problem. No luck, as she just had another freeze up, this time while printing to a USB printer.

It is a G4 Gigabit, with 1.5 G Ram, and an OWC 1.2 Ghz processor, running 10.3.8. She is using an apple mouse running off of an apple keyboard running off an apple ADC connected apple LCD monitor. The printer is hooked up to a usb port at the back of the cpu. She has had this machine for about 14 months, and it has been fine until the past few weeks.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
David
