I was trying to install OS 10.2 onto a beige G3 with a Sonnet 1GHz ZIF
upgrade currently running OS9.2.
I backed up everything on the hard drive, popped in the 10.2 CD and tried to
boot off it the CD but got nothing a blank screen lock up.
Now I cannot boot from either the internal disk or an OS9 CD. I cannot zap
the Pram. Holding shift to turn off extensions doesn't work either.
Any thoughts?

If zap pram doesn't work, pull the battery and power cord and hold
the CUDA button for at least 30 sec.
Then put it all back together and try again.
If that still doesn't work, do it again but this time leave it
unplugged with no battery for a longer time - overnight usually will
do it (I usually do CUDA again before putting everything back
together which may just be overkill, but it's only 30 sec so what the
heck.)
I had some instability problems with my Sonnet 1gig in the beige. I
could get it up to 733 or so without trouble. The same processor
works fine in a B&W, so that's where it is now and the beige is
running a slightly overclocked 400.
