Just curious...what do you think you could do with a 64-bit laptop? The main advantage of 64-bits over 32 is the enormous contiguous memory space. The switch from 16 to 32 bits was huge, because many things we work with don't fit in 16 bit space. There isn't a whole lot that doesn't fit in 32 bit space...
