But that goes against the Mac philosophy doesn't it? You know, 'just
use it'. I mean, not in this day and age of computers and software
development. I mean for the basic operations of an application, you
shouldn't have to read the docs/manual. Sure, if you're trying to do
something exotic or hardcore, or some special, rarely-used feature, but
not for the main functions the program was written for. I mean we're
not using WordPerfect for DOS anymore (how many keystroke combos can
you memorize?).
I just downloaded Unison, on a recommendation from another list user,
and it is FANTASTIC. As simple to use as Mail.app, very similar
format, true OSX interface, downloaded 25000 articles in the first
batch with a "Get More" icon in the top bar, you click it and guess
what, it gets more! Doesn't get much simpler than that, plus it makes
searching for anything a breeze and groups everything into very easy
to understand categories (messages, files, images, music) which you
can search separately.
I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it yet...it will take some
of the 'evil' out of usenet. :)
Rad...
Just curious as to what you used over on the dark side Rad? I liked
Free Agent and Newshark and use MT-NW over here.
Just a message from Doug...
