I know that this is only peripherally G-list related, but I do not
want to kill the wireless connection for my G4 933 Mac.
I have heard (seen??, imagined??) various reports of some cordless
phone frequencies (ie 900 MHz, 2.4GHz) causing interference with
wireless networks. I have a DLink 714+ 802.11 wireless router right
next to a 7 year old cordless phone that needs to be replaced. Are
these reports true? If so, what frequency should I avoid.
Len,
I had a 2.4GHz phone that I sold because it interfered with my 802.11b
NetGear router.
My GSM cellphone works fine around it, and my "new" 900 MHz cordless
phone works fine around it. A friend reports that his 5.something-GHz
phone works without interference as well.
