I did not suggest installing OS X.
Tried D/L WMP 7 for MAC 9.X and after install when I double-click the icon - the bloody system makes funky sounds then goes into stupid mode
Welcome to Microsloth On Mac. WMP 7 is broken. If you're dying to use WMP, because of some specific pc-only format, then try an older version.
Downgrading from QuickTime 6 to QuickTime 5.0.3 also sometimes helps. Otherwise, just use QuickTime Player, iTunes, or Audion.
thought I was making a good decision by getting away from PC/MS but there seems to be too much manual ka ka and I'm regretting every minute - now!
Take a deep breath. Switching from Windows to Mac OS is more than just putting the software in front of you. It's a different way of thinking. One step at a time.
