Excuse me, but how can you complain about Macs being difficult to use when
you insist on using an obsolete OS and the absolute worst browser available
for that OS? Want a Mac to be easy to use, then use one with Panther or
Tiger and Safari, it will be easy, secure and compatible with just about
anything. IE 5.1 may not work simply because the site you are viewing
doesn't support that ancient and buggy browser.

Subject: [G] OI VEI!!!

OK here are some issues that I need help with & I
don't need MAC propaganda or options to IE.5.1 - just
help with fixing issues!

Memory - what do I need to set the minimums to?
1) I use myspace.com to stay in touch with friends and
every time I try to go to the page I get 2 error
messages A) Cannot load shockwave due to memory and B)
Cannot load blah blah blah address (don't have the
address but it's basically part of the main page load
up)

2) Can't log in to myspace.com - when I hit Login
button & as I watch the status bar, it looks like a
java loop blocks the access request from going through
to MySpace servers and causes the site to spitout a
"bad password" error message and returns me to the
login screen.
* it's not me or my login because I can get access to
the site from a PC at work or any other PC so it's
something to do with MAC

3) Whenever I try to view a windows media movie file
by clicking on the link, the Computer downloads it as
a text file and doesn't recognize the site "link"
commands to boot WMP and play the clip.

*went into the file helpers and changed everything
under WMP to use WMP to open said file - some sites
work other just see the link as a text file*

4) POP-Up blocking in MAC IE 5.1
Where and what settings do I need tweak to stop
pop-ups - why isn't there a IE MAC OS setup site or
page to help people like me just switching over to the
"better" system?

Thought MAC was better but there is soooo much manual
manipulation and tweaking that I am not that sure that
it is better - granted I'm an amatuer to MAC but give
me a break!!!! How do you expect to appeal to the
average user if a PC pro has to send emails to a list
to get info needed!

Don't hate me, just understand that MS O/S setup is a
lot easier & there isn't a lot of info out there about
how to get things working properly and so far NOTHING
in MAC OS 9.2.2 and before is easy : ) =

Here's what I got & by the way I've tried doing
searches to
