Initially I was planning on going from 9.2 to 10.3. But since I see that the prices for 10.4 are only a little more than 10.3, I'm thinking about going right to tiger.
The question is what are other's experiences with this on G4'd B&W's? I have put a g4'd/500(sonnet zif) B&W, 768mb ram, and an 80g hd with the stock video card(don't recall the specs) The other thing is that alot of the recent X software comes in DVD format. I have a bare DVD drive that is collecting dust, can I use this to install the DVD software without a DVD decoder? or is a decoder just plain unneccesary and the drive should be able to install w/o problems? thanks.
