Yes, you can. A HDD fits that space just fine. However, (and I'm not
positive about this) I seem to recall that having slower ATA devices
on the same bus as a faster one, reduces them all to the lowest common
speed, so the CD drive may slow down access to that disk.
Isn't putting a HD in the zip bay strongly discouraged because of
insufficient ventilation and possible heat buildup?
