More info would be helpful Larry, as just connecting the X-over cable
between the two systems would technically qualify as "networking".
Would not be useful as the Mac won't see the XP box and vice-versa.
Software like Dave for the Mac will allow it to see and be seen on the
Windows machine, but it is very expensive. Simpler, cheaper, easier
solution would be to install OS X on the Mac as it has the ability to
play nice with Windows. Jaguar (10.2.x) will run natively on the beige
and can be had fairly cheap now that TIger is out. Also to make it run
better you will need at least 256 Mb of RAM on the beige and a freeware
program called Sharepoints to allow the Windows machine to "see" the
beige HD. HTH
