I need a "how to" for networking a Beige minitower, system 9.2, with a

More info would be helpful Larry, as just connecting the X-over cable between the two systems would technically qualify as "networking". Would not be useful as the Mac won't see the XP box and vice-versa. Software like Dave for the Mac will allow it to see and be seen on the Windows machine, but it is very expensive. Simpler, cheaper, easier solution would be to install OS X on the Mac as it has the ability to play nice with Windows. Jaguar (10.2.x) will run natively on the beige and can be had fairly cheap now that TIger is out. Also to make it run better you will need at least 256 Mb of RAM on the beige and a freeware program called Sharepoints to allow the Windows machine to "see" the beige HD. HTH
