I need a "how to" for networking a Beige minitower, system 9.2, with a

appreciated.

I have a simple solution for transferring files from the Mac to the XP box.
1. Connect the machines.
2. Make sure both machines are on the same subnet (usually
255.255.255.0) and have different addresses in the same range
(192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 will work).
3. Turn on Personal Web Sharing on your Mac and configure it.
4. Drop the files you want to share into the Web Sharing folder,
then remove any index.html or home.html (etc) files from the folder.
5. Go to your XP box, open Internet Explorer and surf to 192.168.0.x
(where x is the number you assigned to the Mac).
6. Right click on the files you want and download them to your XP box.
This can be adapted to work the other way as well, but you'll need to
find a simple, easy to use server program for XP.
