What sorts of OS-related (not application- or hardware-related) reliability issues are you seeing with OS X?

Here's the two I'm battling today:

1. Bluetooth connectivity loss, and intermittant/random panics, under Panther and Tiger. The same devices work perfectly on the same PowerBooks under Jaguar.

Apple has blamed everyone from Kensington to Duracell for this one. Even the schmooroos and technician at the Apple Store are stumped.

2. The Black Screen Of Death.

Right in the middle of typing, you get a black screen. Or after putting your PowerBook to sleep, it won't wake up. It's as if the Mac went to sleep forever. They do not respond to long power-key presses, etc.

While they're most common in the newer PowerBooks, they've been reported in older PowerBooks, iBooks, iMacs, iTits, and PM G5's. See the messages posted in Apple's support forums for the tip of the iceburg.

Apple's "official fix" is to charge $$$ to replace the motherboard. But systems with freshly replaced motherboards still do it!

The machines that can boot OS 9 never have this problem while running OS 9. I've never seen a BSOD on Jaguar. Just Panther and Tiger...
