from my understanding, yes, you need the 28V (well, i suppose you actually 
only need 24v).  Anyway, last I checked RadioShack didnt carry a 24v wallwart 
and the place I found that did wanted about $90 for it.  If using a Gig 
ethernet, my best advice is to use a gig ethernet power supply.  I think the 
digital 
audio is the same.

Not sure if you can mod the g3s but you can actually make your own.  Heres

Its probably easier just to find one on eBay but you CAN make your own

That should round off everything.  Back panel, PS, and front power board.
