Not a bad idea. I've zapped the PRAM settings over 20 times so far,
with no luck. I pulled the PRAM battery for an hour, put it back in,
zapped the PRAM settings, then tried, but with no luck. I don't even
think the PRAM settings have been lost once! I am quite perplexed, to
say the very least.

The only other machine I have around here which is at all capable of
booting this CD is an iMac G5 (everything else is System 7...), which
is currently loaded with OS X 10.3. Might I be able to simply
test-boot the 10.2 disc without messing up the existing 10.3 install?

I'm getting into this one late, but I had one of those that would not
boot the Jag install CD. I replaced the PRAM battery and zapped the
PRAM and it booted from the CD just fine then. Just a thought.
Just a message from Doug...

As I recall, when I was installing 10.3 into my G3 DT, it seamed like
the install disk was changing something in the "pram" perhaps what ever
changes the install disk is trying to make are not getting set in
"pram" and you do need a new battery. I know that I seen, somewhere on
the WEB an application that will read and display your "pram" settings,
however I don't recall the name of the application and I've never
downloaded the file. So perhaps someone else knows the name or where to
find the program.
Then you can see if things that you set, which should go into "pram"
are sticking.
