I know the last couple of times I installed it, when the update app 
popped up I think there were a couple of security updates and one for 
the update to 10.2.8, along with a bunch of others you may or may not 
want.  I would definitely do the security updates and the one for 
10.2.8.  Another thing to watch for is that some people running Jag on 
beige experience a problem with 10.2.8 where your monitor goes dark and 
it appears as though the computer is frozen.  For this reason several 
people stay with 10.2.6.  This problem has something to do with the 
built-in video on the beige.  The only machine I run 10.2.8 on has a 
PCI video card from my B&W in it.  YMMV

Apparently the going to 10.2.6 thing is just if you have used "archive &
install", not a fresh install, I am told. I don't yet have any direct
experience of that issue, nor the "sleeping sickness" one (knock on fake
wood on my computer desk...) 8-)

I should note that I have sleep turned off, that is, the disks are not
actually set to spin down -- the monitor blanks after a while, & I've had
no problems so far.
