I just noticed the interface -- I guess it means it won't work with
my Sawtooth, ATA 100 machine.
It will work, but all you'll see is 130GB of it; to see the whole
drive you need an ATA card.
It *will* work in an external FW case which is where mine's going...
And the shipping is free, if you go with ground. Mine was $74 after
tax.
(Hadda pay sales tax since Fry's has a snailstore up in Phoenix...hey
we call it snailmail to distinguish it from e-mail, so why not
snailstore to distinguish it from that skinnerian instant
gratification box we call the internet.
Be nice if we could get a Fry's down here...'fry' is all too apt a
description for the drive up there. (Tucson is 109F right now and
Phoenix is 114F.)

Don't wish to hard, we have about 5 or 6 (and Fry's HQ) here in the San
Jose area. I don't go there very often any more because when I used to
go, I had to return about 1/3 of the things that I bought. They made it
a practice to re-package everything that was returned "if the person
returning the item said that nothing was wrong."
They would reseal the package and it would almost look like new. I'd
rather wait a few days than keep returning things to Fry's.
Also Fry's (brick and mortar) and Fry's Outpost.com don't offer the
same price for the same item. Even with shipping Outpost.com usually
has the better price.
