Sorry for this question but I am a rank amateur.
But I recall I ran into the same problem. Fact is, if you want
compatible files, you need to tell the provider you will be dealing
with the files on a Macintosh computer. Some stores are silly enough
to think all you'll ever want to do is stick it into your DVD player
or Kodak player and run a slide show. So, you may well have to take
the film back and have them burn a normal disk of TIFF files.
But don't give up just yet. Try dropping it onto the QT Player app
icon and see what happens.
This would be very hard to do if he can't even get the disc mounted <g>.
