Actually if you interoperate with Windows or Unix stytems or use a dns
system internally on your network a name is required.
As for multiple computers, some of us are collectors as well as users.
Not rich, just technojunkies or 21st Century version of packrats. I
really have no clue how many systems I really own. In my "official
collection" there are around 115-120. Then there are those work horse
machines (the white box clones, winblows machines, my wife and kids
computers, servers at the office) that I don't even count.
