I have had one of the iMac FPs since they first came out.
Not CUDA, but it does have a PMU. When you are looking at the
motherboard, if the RAM slot is south, and the Airport slot is north,
you will see the PMU button just to the east of the Airport slot.
The PRAM battery needs to be reading at least +3.5v for it to cold boot.
If it is getting power, you should see a red LED just south of the PMU
button.
After you push the PMU, and if you are getting the red LED, try zapping
the PRAM at start up.
One of that machine's design flaws is that the power cord does not seat
well and wiggles out of the socket.
I have the Apple Service manual for this model, and can send it to you
if you need it.
