My point is that switching off my PS is the same as the cord being pulled, the power is just being cut to the motherboard. Whereas the right way to power down would be choosing that option, or holding the power button on the front of the computer for 5 seconds. I am thinking that if you just cut the power the PRAM doesnt get updated or something.
