dig back in the trash.  He did say he pulled the power cord.  my atx PS 
exceeds the specs of Apples PS Im sure, and the hack i did simply rerouted 
voltage 
to 2 wires.  My point is that switching off my PS is the same as the cord 
being pulled, the power is just being cut to the motherboard.  Whereas the 
right 
way to power down would be choosing that option, or holding the power button on 
the front of the computer for 5 seconds.  I am thinking that if you just cut 
the power the PRAM doesnt get updated or something.  I dont know enough about 
how Macs work to know when the PRAM actually gets changed.
