I had a bad experience with Powerlogix a few years ago as well They gave me an RMA and told me to send my processor to their service center, WayPoint Distribution Inc. After a couple of months they told me there were problems getting replacement processors from Powerlogix. I waited and waited and continued emailing them. Finally after a year I chose get a refund of the full amount from Powerlogix. (in the meantime I had bought a used Mac to continue my work). After another 6 months WayPoint Distribution Inc. said they were still waiting for Powerlogix's to OKAY the refund.
A few month later I got this email from Waypoint. > Dear Powerlogix Customer, > > The license agreement between WayPoint Distribution, Inc. and Powerlogix has > ended. As part of the transition for sales and support back to Powerlogix, > your RMA data (including copies of invoices) has been transferred to > Powerlogix. > > Although we sent your board to Powerlogix several months ago, we have been > unable to bring closure to your case. Many of you know that we have tried in > earnest to work in your behalf to get either a refund or replacement for your > RMA. We regret the inconvenience that this delay has caused you. > > Please reference the RMA number that we provide you in communication with > Powerlogix. They may issue you a new number for tracking in their data base. > The contact information for Powerlogix is as follows: > > Powerlogix > 8701 W Parmer Lane > Suite 1120 > Austin, TX 78729 I called Powerlogix on the matter and they confirmed this was indeed correct and they will need the old processor before the could proceed with the RMA. And I was my responsibility to get back the old processor. I called Waypoint and they even gave me the UPS tracking number. I go to UPS website and it shows an item being deliverd and signed by "ROE" I called Powerlogix and they say they don't even have a person by the name of ROE. They keep insisting that they cannot proceed on the matter without my old processor card. In other words I'm SOL. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
