As for the restocking fee, keep on 'em about it...be persistent. Also contact your bank, and dispute that charge. Consumers really need to start beating up retail outlets over this totally BS restocking fee. OWC's not the only one to do it. The reason they do it is, basically, we let them get away with it! Quite possibly retailers started charging restocking fees once they realized that they were getting away with making the CONSUMER responsible for shipping on an RMA. Then we wonder why we get such piss poor customer service.

I was actually thinking about the new 1.1GHz PowerLogix G3 ZIF upgrade, for whenever I'm able to work on rebuilding my beige G3 MT or beige G3 AIO. For as much as I'm reading negative about PL and OWC, I'll likely skip any such upgrade and go with another retailer, such as NewEgg. at that. If anything, I'll rebuild the G3 MT with my 333MHz G3 that I'd bought NOS from Mac ResQ several years ago, and dig around for the original 233MHz G3 that shipped with my G3 AIO when I orded it from Apple in August of '98.
