Thanks, for replies. Reason for removal. I live in San Diego, am going to Western NY on vacation. A friend there is going to partition the HD on my G3/300, beige, mini tower. Is then going to install 9.2 and X on the HD. Rather than bring the whole Mac there, am taking only the HD with me on vacation so he can do the work.
